Our fun 2-year old

Oh my gosh, it's been way too long since I've updated the Jack blog! Our little guy is 2-years old and seriously the most fun, charming, charismatic and smart little guy. I'll share some recent pics, updates and milestones below!

School pics!
Jack just moved up to the Bears classroom at his daycare and luckily his little girlfriend Isabella moved up with him. He did have to say goodbye to his other girlfriend, Avery, who moved to D.C. recently with her family. It's funny-- in the morning we'll ask Jack what he dreamt about the night before and he usually says firetrucks, horsies and Avery with a devilish little smile.

My Mini Me!

Jack can now count to 10 and he gets super excited by the time he gets to 8, 9, and 10!! He's also super great at identifying letters, colors and objects. Tonight Mike was writing down letters and Jack correctly identified each one, even the tough ones like X.

He's also saying the cutest things. Last night I sneezed and he said, "Bless you mama!" When I hand him something he says, "Thank you mama!" and he's really good about saying please.

One of the cutest things about this summer is Jack's fedora. Yep, you've all seen it because he wears it everywhere. My mom and I bought it in March in Florida for $3. It was the best money we've ever spent! The kid is obsessed with it and wears it every. single. day. This hat has gotten more compliments than you can even imagine. He gets at least two compliments every time we go outside and the site of him in it has warmed up even the most hardened New Yorker :-)

Another really great thing about our little guy is how tough he is. When he falls, he rarely cries and shakes off injuries super fast. Even his teachers have commented on it. When he was a newborn in the hospital, the nurses told me that he was the only baby that didn't cry when he/she got shots. He is so tough!! He makes parenthood so much easier on us because he just goes with the flow.

We are having so much fun this summer! We usually start the day going to either Central Park or Riverside Park and swinging on the swings, running through the sprinklers and looking for horsies. These days Jack is just as content to help push the stroller through the park as he is go to into the playgrounds. The boy loves anything with wheels! He's extra obsessed with buses, firetrucks and construction equipment. (His favorite book is Mighty Dads which is about construction equipment.)

We also still have playdates with our former neighbor JoJo. Even though he and his family moved to Brooklyn, his mom Kim brings him to the city every week or two to see his best bud Jack. They are adorable together.

Overall, we are so enjoying Jack-a-roo, or Roo or Roo-Roo as we call him more than we could have eve imagined. Coolest little dude on the planet.
