I can tell you one thing about New York-- experiencing it with a baby and without are two totally different experiences. Everyday I'm amazed by how much I see people smile, laugh and warm up just by the sight of Jack. (Of course, him being a happy, smiley baby is certainly helpful.)
Here are some of our cuter recent encounters:
- Today at the grocery Jack kept smiling at the clerk and saying "hi." She made over him, of course, and said, "Bye Jack!" when we left
- Last night at the wine store, he smiled at the workers and gave one a high five
- While I was carrying him home this week in a front carrier, the couple waiting in the elevator line ahead of us couldn't stop making over him. They both gushed over what a sweet, smiling baby he was and they continued gushing over him the whole ride. They asked him to hit their floor button (which he LOVES) and blew him kisses, laughed and waved. It was the cutest
Other cute memories:
- While walking home last week with Isabella (a classmate) and her mom Steph, Jack blew Bella a kiss when we said goodbye
- GG's spaghetti! Jack loved it and it was so adorbs...
- While Facetiming with Nana today, Jack blew her kisses, tried to kiss the camera, giggled a ton and waved goodbye
- While Facetiming with Dada yesterday, Jack thought it was the funniest thing ever whenever Dada pretended to kiss the camera.
- Reading with GG...she bought him a bunch of cute, new books when she visited last week...
- Having Dada photbomb his pics...
- Enjoying the sunshine with mama
- Having pizza with his buddies (funny enough, he won't eat pizza at home, but will eat it at school)
He is nearly 18 months (crazy! Next week!). He is still sleeping like a champ, from 7:30 pm-7 am and is just a joy to be around. I love when he looks at me with his blue eyes sparkling and the biggest smile. He's the best.
